English as an Additional Language (EAL) learners are defined in England as those exposed to a language other than English at home. This includes a diverse group, ranging from new arrivals to those born in the United Kingdom (UK).
Accessing the service
- the service can be accessed through the request for involvement form and forwarded to: SENDSubmission@cumbria.gov.uk
- Special Educational Needs Coordinators (SENCos) are guided to seek consultation directly with the relevant Specialist Advisory Teacher following the issue of an education, health and care plan (EHCP)
