People with a learning disability often have poorer physical and mental health than other people. This does not need to be the case. Annual health checks are for adults and young people aged 14 or over with a learning disability.

A Hospital Passport is designed to give hospital staff helpful information about the person, about their health and social needs and guides staff on the best way to support the person when they come to hospital.

Following a 3 week inspection in July 2025, Ofsted for Standards in Education (Ofsted) and the Care Quality Commission (CQC) have today (Tuesday, 9 September) published their report on our Local Area Partnership, which provides services to children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) and those educated in alternative provision (AP).
